The Ulster Orchestra at Culture Night 2016

Culture Night 2016

Culture NightThe Ulster Orchestra is delighted to be taking part in three different events in Belfast city centre on Friday 16 September, as part of Culture Night 2016.

We kick off our participation in the festivities at Oh Yeah! Music Centre (on Gordon Street in the Cathedral Quarter) with a performance from one of our Ulster Orchestra string quartets, which starts at 4:30pm. You will be in for treat and may even recognise some tunes you wouldn’t expect from these classically trained musicians.

You can then come over to the Electric Ireland Stage (at Ulster University) at 6:30pm and see the Orchestra put on a live show with an unusual twist. (That twist is being kept under wraps for now, but trust us, this is a performance you won’t want to miss!)

Following this show, players from Ulster Orchestra will be hosting an ‘instrument petting zoo’ close to the Electric Ireland Stage, where they will give live instrument demonstrations and you’ll have a chance to get to grips with some of the basics of playing an instrument.
