Ulster Orchestra Beat the Weather to Perform in Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw

The ‘Beast from the East’ was no match for the Ulster Orchestra, who traveled to Amsterdam for a concert in the Concertgebouw, one of the world’s finest concert halls, on Sunday 4 March.

The Orchestra were led by Music Director Rafael Payare and performed a progamme comprised of Shostakovich Symphony No.1 and Elgar’s Cello Concerto, which featured guest soloist Alisa Weilerstein. The Orchestra’s performance was incredibly successful, receiving a richly-deserved standing ovation.
