BBC Proms in the Park NI
Saturday 9 September, 5:30 pm
BBC Northern Ireland’s Proms in the Park 2017 will take place at Castle Coole in County Fermanagh on Saturday 9 September.
The event will be packed full of musical variety and celebration and all of the excitement that comes with Last Night festivities and Castle Coole promises to be one of the most picturesque venues that have been used for BBC Proms in the Park – something that will be enjoyed by television audiences around the UK.
Tickets will be allocated by random draw. The distribution of tickets to successful applicants will be handled by an external company (ticketmaster) on the BBC’s behalf. Successful applicants will be notified by them shortly after the closing date for applications and will be required to pay a registration/administration charge of £1.50 per transaction. This will contribute to the costs associated with the printing, distribution and on-site verification of tickets.
The BBC wants to maximise the opportunity for people living in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area to attend this event. Up to 45% of tickets will be available for people with post codes in this Council area. It is expected that a further 45% of tickets will be available for applicants from the rest of Northern Ireland, with the remaining 10% being distributed to ticket applicants from GB and RoI.*
You can apply for up to four BBC Proms in the Park tickets per household address. Duplicate applications will not be considered and tickets obtained by successful applicants should not be made available for sale.
Ticket applications can be made at any time until 5pm on Monday 10 July 2017.
Please note that for reasons of audience safety, there will be no pedestrian access to the Castle Coole site. A free shuttle bus service will operate for all concert-goers from Enniskillen to Castle Coole – details of which will be included with your ticket/s. All usual arrangements will be in place for people with access requirements and it’s essential that you let the BBC know about any needs which you, or a member of your group, may have when completing your ticket application.
* These totals are indicative and may be subject to change if insufficient applications are received from any particular area.
Admission to this recording is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that as not everyone who asks for tickets uses them, to make sure there is a full house the BBC issues more tickets than there are places. The BBC does their best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately they occasionally have to disappoint people so please arrive early.
