All Aboard: The Ulster Orchestra Primary School Concerts 2026

This year, we’re setting sail on a musical journey through one of Belfast’s most famous stories – The tale of theTitanic.

Join us for an unforgettable adventure that traces the incredible story: from construction in the shipyards of Belfast, Titanic’s launch into the world, what life aboard was like, the tragic loss, and the way its legacy continues to be remembered today.

A new way to experience the story
This year’s concerts introduce an exciting new storytelling format, bringing the story and history to life like never before through orchestral music – designed to captivate young imaginations from the very first note.

Meet your new presenter, Jessie Grimes
We’re delighted to welcome Jessie Grimes as our new presenter for this year’s concerts. With a decade of experience bringing orchestral music to life for young audiences, Jessie has been presenting concerts and working across stage, TV and radio for the best part of a decade. She was named a BBC Radio 3 Next Generation Voice for 2019-20, and currently serves as Dublin’s National Concert Hall Artist in Residence. Known for her warmth, humour and genuine love of music, Jessie brings a fresh and engaging voice to this year’s storytelling.

Getting the most from your visit
To help you prepare, we’ll send a set of pre-concert resources along with a social story, so you and your pupils can make the most of the experience from the moment you arrive.
