The Ulster Orchestra welcomes a wonderful, new partnership with the Kingsbridge Foundation, the charitable arm of the Kingsbridge Healthcare Group who are providing valuable support for its upcoming Schoolsโ concerts series.
Each year the Ulster Orchestra brings its primary school concerts to audiences across Northern Ireland, reaching over 4000 pupils and teachers from around 90 schools. This November, participants will discover more about their Health and Wellbeing in an exciting, interactive concert designed for P4-P7!

Michelle Baird, Head of Marketing & Partnerships for the Ulster Orchestra comments, โThe Orchestra, alongside conductor David Brophy and presenter Cath Arlidge, will explore with the primary school audiences, the five steps to Wellbeing: Keep learning, Notice our feelings, Be active, Connect with friends and Be generous. This is a very useful theme for children and adults alike and also provides a perfect connection to all the wonderful work that Kingsbridge does in this area.
โAs a charity, the Orchestra consistently needs to attract funding from a wide variety of sources to help sustain our activity, now and in the future. We are highly grateful to Kingsbridge for their generous support for this valuable project which provides a wonderful opportunity for children across Derry-Londonderry, Newry, Ballymena, Omagh and Belfast to experience the magic of the full Orchestra, right on their doorstep. We are also thankful to Waterfront Hall/Ulster Hall for providing in-kind support for the Waterfront Hall concert.โ
Martin Shields, Group Medical Director at Kingsbridge Healthcare Group said, โWeโre so pleased to support this yearโs Ulster Orchestra Schoolsโ Concerts through the Kingsbridge Foundation. Itโs a wonderful way for us to connect with young people across Belfast, Derry-Londonderry, Newry, Ballymena, and Omagh, and celebrate the communities we serve through our hospitals and diagnostic and treatments centres.
The concertsโ theme, looking after both body and mind, is something close to our hearts. Seeing this message come alive through music and creativity is truly inspiring. Weโre also delighted that our Lead GP, Dr Lisa Neligan, who is also a busy mum of four, has shared her โTop 5 Tips for Wellbeingโ as part of the programme and hope these concerts help to spark curiosity, positivity, and a love of wellbeing among pupils across Northern Ireland.โ
