‘Basoon and Beyond’ a UO and EA Music Service partnership project, has been nominated for Classic FM’s ‘Best Music Learning Initiative 2023’ – and we need your vote.
The Ulster Orchestra are delighted to have been shortlisted in partnership with Education Authority Music Service for the Classic FM ‘Best Music Learning Initiative 2023’ for ‘To Bassoon & Beyond’ which is now open for public vote.
“To Bassoon and Beyond” is a pilot project launched by the EA Music Service in partnership with the Ulster Orchestra, to grow a dwindling population of bassoonists. At present, 35 pupils from 5 primary and 2 post-primary schools in Belfast, Ballynahinch and Lurgan have weekly lessons with tutor Krista, with surprise visits from UO players Greg and Vahan.
