Let’s Play!

The Ulster Orchestra is ready to play and its exciting new Season of concerts is on sale now! This season sees the core subscription series increase to 16 concerts, a series of Pops concerts in Belfast Waterfront and the introduction of a brand new Festive mini-series, along with the return of the 9-concert JTI Lunchtime Series – and that’s just in Belfast. As well as this the Orchestra will be performing ‘On Your Doorstep’ in communities throughout the region, all year long. There’s something for everyone!

The Ulster Orchestra, Colin Neighbourhood Partnership and Shankill Children’s Zone are seeking experienced and qualified music tutors to be part of the pilot phase of an exciting new initiative. Inspired by the success of orchestra school partnerships in Glasgow (“Big Noise”) and Liverpool (“In Harmony”), the partners’ vision is to improve outcomes for children through music. The project aims to increase the resilience, aspirations and emotional development of children from areas of social and economic disadvantage through a programme of music skills development, which will increase participants’ musical skills while contributing to their improved wellbeing and self-worth. The Ulster Orchestra at Culture Night 2016

Culture Night 2016 The Ulster Orchestra is delighted to be taking part in three different events in Belfast city centre on Friday 16 September, as part of Culture Night 2016. We kick off our participation in the festivities at Oh Yeah! Music Centre (on Gordon Street in the Cathedral Quarter) with a performance from one of our Ulster Orchestra string quartets, which starts at 4:30pm. Ulster Orchestra and Music at Queen’s Launch Partnership

We are delighted to announce the formation of a new creative partnership between the Ulster Orchestra and Music in Queen's University, Belfast. This residency is inaugurated to coincide with the Ulster Orchestra 50th Anniversary Season in 2016-17, and it heralds a range of creative support and collaboration between two bodies that enjoy historic connections in teaching, composition and concert work.
