It may still be summer, but this concert looks ahead to the BBC’s broadcast plans for New Year’s Day 2020!

The BBC is recording a special sequence of music and readings on the theme of Epiphany for BBC Radio 3 as part of the annual Charles Wood Festival in Armagh.

The Ulster Orchestra will be joined in the city’s St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral by the Charles Wood Singers, conducted by David Hill.

The Most Reverend Eamon Martin and The Most Reverend Dr Richard Clarke will introduce the evening’s programme, along with readings by Gloria Hunniford.

It should be a rather special event - and an unusual seasonal excursion.
