The campaign aims to inspire people to leave a gift in their will to the Orchestra.
The Ulster Orchestra has welcomed Legacy Wealth Management as its exclusive partner in a new campaign aimed to inspire people to consider leaving a gift in their will to the Orchestra. This will help sustain Northern Ireland’s only professional symphony orchestra – which is also a registered charity – and will ensure the joy, experience and performance of live orchestral music is accessible for future generations. Pictured above: Alex Price, Head of Business Development, Legacy Wealth Management; Michelle Baird, Head of Marketing & Partnerships, Ulster Orchestra; Ioana Petcu-Colan, Leader of the Ulster Orchestra; Isla Forsythe (age 9). This is the first legacy campaign the Orchestra has developed with support from an external expert and Michelle Baird, Head of Marketing & Partnerships for the Ulster Orchestra explains, “As a charity, we need to attract funding from a wide variety of sources to help sustain all our current activity, on and off the stage, now and in the future. Not only does the Orchestra bring world-class musicians and music across Northern Ireland, but its extensive learning and community engagement activity has had such a positive impact on a wide range of people, from primary school children to the older community. “Providing access to music, instruments and performances, as well as contributing to education, career development and wellbeing, is now a central part of the Orchestra’s core activity and something that we wish to carry on and develop further in the future. However, we can’t do this without support. We are highly grateful to the team at Legacy Wealth Management for their support and they are starting this journey by sharing their knowledge with some of our Patrons at a special event next month.” Alex Price, Head of Business Development, Legacy Wealth Management adds, “Legacy Wealth Management is proud to partner with the Ulster Orchestra on their Legacy Gifting Campaign, encouraging charitable bequests that help secure the Orchestra’s future. Legacy gifts to registered charities are exempt from Inheritance Tax (IHT) and leaving 10% or more of your estate can reduce the IHT rate from 40% to 36%. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to lasting cultural impact and smart financial planning.” If you would like to receive information on how to leave a gift in your will to the Ulster Orchestra, please contact [email protected]
