COVID-19: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Ulster Orchestra MD Richard Wigley issues the following statement

Dear Friends,

In these challenging times it would have been a pleasure to have offered you concerts to lift the spirits. However, it doesn’t make sense for all of us to get together with the risks to health that we are all familiar with.

As you may know, Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall are now closed until 17 April at least, and therefore there will sadly be no Ulster Orchestra concerts for this period.

Like you, we were looking forward to the Lunchtime concert, Shaken Not Stirred, the Bach Mass in B Minor and two great Beethoven subscription concerts. We will do our utmost to re-schedule Shaken Not Stirred to the Autumn so that ticket holders won’t miss out on this fantastic concert. However, we unfortunately won’t be in a position to reschedule the Beethoven Symphony No.4 and No.5 concerts or the Bach Mass in B Minor.

With regards to Shaken Not Stirred, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to the alternative date, which will be announced on our website and social media as soon as it is confirmed. Regarding all ticket holders, if you would prefer a refund, then of course that is an option. However, if you are in a position to show your support for the Orchestra by not requesting a refund to help us get through these extraordinary times, we would be most grateful. Please contact the Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall to confirm you are happy to donate the ticket value.

Please keep safe and we look forward to sharing great live music with you again in the not too distant future.

Best wishes
Richard
Managing Director, Ulster Orchestra
