Delivering musicianship and instrumental workshops to over 450 P1, P2, P3 and P7 children across 4 schools

The Crescendo Project works in partnership with Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, Shankill Children’s Zone and the Centre for Evidence and Social Innovation at Queen’s University, Belfast to deliver musicianship and instrumental workshops to over 450 P1, P2, P3 and P7 children across 4 schools. Activity is led by Ulster Orchestra musicians and Associates, and the P1 and P2 workshops link in with Personal Development and Mutual Understanding aspects of the NI curriculum. The culmination of the season is an event in June which sees the children perform alongside the full Ulster Orchestra for their families and local community.

Ulster Orchestra have provided a fantastic programme for our foundation stage classes! The children have been introduced to a vast breadth of musical skills in a stimulating environment with fun and engaging activities! It is a highlight of the children's week and an activity which every child enjoys and is hugely benefiting from!

The famous Roisin. My Charlie talks about you all the time and thanks to you all I’m allowed to play in my car now is the classical channel on the radio. Thank you, to you and Holy Evangelists’ for introducing my son to music I would not have listened to before.
