As part of our aim to enrich lives through music, we work in partnership with community organisations perform directly in communities as well as in more traditional concert hall settings. Since 2015 the orchestra has accompanied school and community choirs as part of the annual North Belfast Community Awards with the Flax Trust, held in Holy Cross Church in Ardoyne.

A real privilege to have this opportunity. I feel it lifted us to perform more professionally and I have no doubt we all went home with our musical self esteem greatly enhanced. It also helps my understanding of the different contributions specific instruments make. So often the audience is set too far back to appreciate the individual parts.
